Kulgam, J&K – An ex-serviceman was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Behibagh village, Kulgam district, on Monday. The attack, which also left his wife and cousin injured, has been widely condemned by political leaders, including Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Security forces have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the assailants. This incident highlights ongoing security concerns in the region, following a recent operation in December where five terrorists, including a Hizbul Mujahideen commander, were killed.

Authorities have assured swift action against those responsible for the attack. The tragic event has once again underscored the need for heightened security measures to curb terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Further details are awaited as security agencies continue their probe into the incident.
